The Wheaton Magna Flex culture flask features a built-in flex-type spherical glass stirrer that rotates above the liquid surface along a groove in the bottom of the flask from a fixed position. Specifically designed for microcarrier culture, the stirring system enhances agitation while providing gentle circulation of the culture medium, ensuring suspension of the carrier beads.

These flasks are designed with a headspace ratio of 1:1 or greater. The stirrer is secured by a removable stainless steel pin, preventing damage to cells or microcarriers during movement and tilting. Flasks of 500 mL and larger are available with Wheaton perforated caps (order number W240751).
