Celstir cell culture flasks feature a height-adjustable, blade-shaped short paddle for more thorough agitation. A raised section at the bottom enhances agitation and prevents cell deposition.

Celstirs provide maximum contact area for the culture medium and gases within the flask.

Celstirs are suitable for microcarrier and suspension culture of cells such as insect cells, hybridoma cells, and adaptive cell lines. The entire unit can be autoclaved at 121°C for 20 minutes.

Celstirs are made of 33 ultra-low-emission borosilicate glass, conforming to ASTM Type I, Class A and USP Type I standards.

We also offer a stainless steel stir bar kit to improve your Celstir culture flasks (see series 356874). Flasks of 500 mL and larger can be fitted with perforated caps (order number W240751). Flasks from 125 to 1000 mL have graduations in 50 mL increments; flasks from 3000 to 8000 mL have graduations in 500 mL increments; flasks from 25 mL to 50 mL are unmarked.
