The Sedimentation Index (SDI) is a measure of the amount of solids or suspended particles in water and is a particularly important parameter when operating reverse osmosis equipment. The SDI of the feed water can be used to calculate membrane fouling time, backwashing frequency, and membrane life.

Using a membrane/flow measurement system, the SDI can be calculated in just 15 minutes. The shipment includes a membrane for 100 tests.
