The sleek housing is constructed from a high-strength, impact-resistant composite material, making it suitable for use in harsh environments. It is also resistant to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (RFI). The instrument features intuitive four-button operation and calibration, and a 5-second power-off function prevents accidental shutdowns. Its compact size and affordable price make it an ideal personal gas detector.

Additionally, the instrument features a vibration alarm, a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, peak readings, and a large LCD display. The included gas sampling pump enables remote sampling up to 15 meters.
